A film adaptation of the novel "The Master and Margarita" is being filmed in Moscow on Patriarch's Ponds. The actor playing the role of Woland dies right during filming, and Nastya Vyazemskaya is brought in to investigate this strange death. There is a suspicion that someone decided to disrupt the project in such a monstrous way: either the producer's competitors, or the residents of Patriarch's Ponds, whose peace was disturbed by the appearance of the film crew. However, the late actor could have had personal enemies... Meanwhile, disasters pour down like from a cornucopia. The actress who plays Margarita almost dies from poisoning, the director begins to have visions... The filmmakers are sure that it's all about an old curse.
