On July 9, the filming of the four-part melodrama "Book Girl" was completed in St. Petersburg.

Based on the novel of the same name by Maria Voronova. Zhenya lost her parents early and grew up in the house of an imperious old-regime grandmother, accustomed to obeying her in everything. The girl is not oppressed by this, because she spends more time in the world of dreams and stories she has read than in reality. When her uncle, a sanitary doctor, arranges for his niece to work as a nurse in his hospital, Zhenya immediately falls in love with the chief surgeon. Ruslan Volchetkin seems to her a real knight in shining armor. But the knight is married and, despite his obvious interest in Zhenya, does not intend to divorce: his wife Olga is mentally disabled, and leaving her is unthinkable. Having learned about Zhenya's love, the grandmother forces her to immediately leave the hospital forever and finds a job for her granddaughter in a bookstore. But even having found herself in the best place in the world, even having met an interesting and mysterious stranger, the bookish girl cannot forget Ruslan. To oust the knight from her heart, a more exciting plot is needed. And such a plot awaits Zhenya ahead.
