A security guard at an antique store on Nikolskaya Street fell down the stairs in the same building and died. A leaf from an ancient manuscript in Greek was found in the hand of the deceased. Nastya Vyazemskaya suspects that the manuscript could have been kept in Liberea, the lost library of Ivan the Terrible. Did the deceased really find it? And was his death an accident? It soon becomes clear that the guard was poisoned, and shortly before his death he managed to sell the ancient manuscript. But the buyer immediately stole the manuscript! Nastya must find out who is hunting for the treasures of Liberea - an obsessed fanatic, an alchemist, or an ineradicable gang of "antique dealers"?
