Nina is a nerd. Not in the sense of glasses and blue stockings, but in the most literal sense. When the city botanical garden where she worked was closed, Nina could not even dream that she would be so lucky: Vladimir Shelekhov, a businessman, heir to an ancient princely family and a great original, invites her to work in his luxurious estate instead of the runaway gardener. The estate is also a living museum, a tourist attraction where people come from all over the country. And every Friday, not only the garden and several rooms with historical furnishings are open to tourists, but the entire house. On one of these Fridays, Nina witnesses the sudden death of the owner of the estate. Exactly a week later, at Shelekhov's funeral, there is another mysterious death: his eldest son is poisoned. Further events leave no doubt: someone wants to destroy the entire Shelekhov family. Nina will have to find out who is behind a series of mysterious murders and assassination attempts, what secret the owner of the estate has been keeping for many years, and how the missing gardener is connected to all this.
