Film Production News: Three Roads

The production of the 4-part melodrama "Three Roads" has been completed.

1974. The father of little Slava and Seryozha dies in a car accident, and their mother, having gone mad with grief, leaves home. The brothers are sent to an orphanage, from where a few years later, seven-year-old Seryozha is taken by a wealthy Moscow family, who had recently lost their little son. Slava cannot forgive her younger brother for betraying him, does not communicate with him for many years and transfers all her affection to her orphanage friend Kolka. Then a new teacher, Valeria, appears at the orphanage – she becomes a second mother to Slavka and Kolka, and they both fall in love with her daughter Tanya.

Slavka graduates from the Physics and Technology Institute, Kolka returns from Afghanistan as an invalid, and Seryozha, who grew up lonely and unhappy in a hostile family, loses his last hope for reconciliation with his brother when Tanya falls in love with him and leaves Slava for him. Several years later, Seryozha comes to Slava to talk about their missing mother, but gets drunk and ends up in the bed of Slava's mistress, where Tanya finds him. Heartbroken, she does not tell her fiancé about her pregnancy, has an abortion and marries Slava.

Years go by. Kolya has big troubles in business, he does not want to bother his more successful friend Slava with them and goes to sort things out with Seryozha. Tanya, who does not even pretend to be happy in her marriage with Slava, asks her husband for help, and he, having given a huge sum to buy out his friend and brother, finally loses his wife - she leaves for Seryozha again. And after leaving, she finds out about her pregnancy, and the child can only be Slava's. She is afraid to tell Slava about this, but the secret oppresses the lovers, interfering with their happiness.

Meanwhile, Slava finds his mother in a psychiatric hospital in Novosibirsk and takes her to Moscow, where the talented doctor Nina helps almost completely restore her sanity ... and falls in love with Slava. Having overcome old grievances, the brothers finally take a step towards each other: Slava returns Seryozha's mother, and Seryozha admits that he and Tanya are raising Slava's son. The family grows together again.
