The preparatory period for the 3rd and 4th seasons of the detective melodrama "Woman in Trouble" has begun.

Not everything is smooth in the family of Ivan and Anya again. Ivan's ex-wife Olga bursts into their home with their little son: they had to urgently flee Omsk because her husband Eduard had clearly gotten into some kind of trouble. Anya hopes that Edik will also come soon and take his family, but Olga seems to have decided to stay with them and is planning a divorce. Who knows, maybe she has designs on Ivan? This worries Anya, and when Ivan, after whispering to Olga, goes to some motel outside the city and doesn't say anything about it to his wife, she also goes there to sort things out. But instead of her husband, she finds only his knife and... Eduard's corpse in the motel room.
Ivan, whom the motel guests had seen leaving Edik's room shortly before, is detained by the police. Anya is ready to do anything to prove her husband's innocence, but she also has to protect Olga, Anyuta and herself, because they are being pursued by bandits who demand that they return the money that the late Eduard stole. Soon Anya begins to suspect that Olga knows much more than she says...
Anya's mother Valentina goes to the social security office for a short time and disappears without a trace. Our heroes are running off their feet trying to find her, suspecting that she was kidnapped - although who and why would kidnap an elderly woman from a poor family? It turns out that Valentina recently sold her summer cottage for a suspiciously large amount of money. Her husband Gleb suspects that she could have been kidnapped by the son of a neighbor at the dacha to demand a ransom. But that would be too easy...
It turns out that Valentina sold the dacha to a certain Roman, the son of a major businessman Pavel Kondratyev, who recently died. Anya finds photos from the millionaire's funeral on the Internet and is surprised to see her mother in the mourning crowd. After investigating, Anya learns that Valentina and the late Pavel had a stormy affair in their youth. But they broke up, and Kondratyev suffered from guilt all his life, and before his death he bequeathed his business to the woman he once loved in order to provide for her and their daughter, Anya!
