A noisy party on the occasion of a meeting of former classmates is interrupted by a terrible discovery: one of the guests accidentally discovers the body of a girl on a summer cottage, which has lain in the ground for many years. Captain Vera Ershova and her subordinates, seasoned operative Bobrykin and brilliant criminologist Sapronov, take up the investigation of an old case. All the party participants, who, as it turns out, knew the victim well and were the last to see her alive, fall under suspicion. Each of them had a motive and opportunity to kill the girl. But while Vera, Bobrykin and Sapronov are identifying the criminal, the mysterious killer opens a hunt for the guests themselves... As before, during the investigation, Vera will rely on modern technologies, and her colleagues - on old and proven methods. And, although past adventures have united the team, the conflict of generations will still make itself felt. Vera will have a new admirer, and Bobrykin and Sapronov will continue to fight for the heart of Lieutenant Colonel Romanova, who was never able to give preference to one of them.
