For the anniversary of the Great Victory, the TV Center channel is preparing a high-profile premiere – the spy detective Snow and Ashes. The screening will take place on May 10 at 17:25.
In 1942, a large unit of Soviet troops finds itself in a German "cauldron" – the army is connected to the rear only by a narrow isthmus surrounded by swamps. The Germans are preparing a breakthrough, and there is an experienced saboteur among the Russians. To expose him, the NKVD introduces one of its best employees, Major Urusov, who takes three young scouts with him. Posing as Colonel Yampolsky, Urusov begins an investigation, and the saboteur does not sleep: one by one, he removes witnesses and organizes the construction of a forest road for the passage of German armored vehicles through the seemingly impassable forest. Urusov constantly has new suspects, but each version falls apart, as luck would have it. In the finale, Urusov, risking his life, exposes the saboteur, whom at first no one even thought to suspect, and the scouts, together with a handful of partisans, stop the advance of the German division and give their army the opportunity to escape from the cauldron.
