The Old Guard. Fire Trail

Captain Vera Yershova and her team receive a new assignment. They have to investigate the circumstances of the fire that killed a school watchman Simonov. At first, it looks like an accident, but the sharp eye of Sapronov quickly notices the inconsistencies. Bobrykin finds out that Simonov used to be a fire inspector. It's a strange death for a man with such a profession! Soon the Old Guard comes to the conclusion it was a very ingenious murder. And the criminal will not stop apparently. Catching the villain is not so easy, because he uses tricky traps, set in advance, to kill the victims. One thing is clear: each of the traps is somehow connected with fire... The rivalry between Bobrykin and Sapronov for the heart of Lieutenant Colonel Romanova takes a new level, and Vera falls deeper and deeper in love with Garik, who she met during the investigation of one of the past cases. The situation is complicated by the fact Garik is married, so the feelings for him can be costly for Vera.
